State of Democracy Series
Panel Discussion
“What Matters More: Democracy or Economic Growth”
Time: 8:00 PM – 9:00 PM ET
As the world contends with the Covid-19 crisis, we at Network 20/20 believe it’s critical to take a step back to examine the current crisis of global democracy as well, therefore we invite you to join us for our State of Democracy Briefing Series.
Our monthly State of Democracy panel discussion began with an assessment of democracy promotion as a U.S. policy goal. Subsequently, we examine the current state of affairs by taking a closer look at examples of democratic backsliding and the role of technology in accelerating these trends. Finally, the State of Democracy series will look forward and explore the role of protests and economics in driving democracy in the future. During this pivotal moment for global politics, we look forward to bringing you these timely discussions as part of our State of Democracy Series.
