Summer 2023 Program and Event Internship

Network 20/20 is looking for a Program and Event Intern for Summer 2023.

Deadline: 04/11/2023

Mission

Network 20/20 is an inclusive, international community that bridges the gap between the private sector and foreign policy worlds. We leverage entrepreneurial, established, and emerging leaders to drive innovative research and solutions critical to impacting foreign policy challenges.

Description

We are currently seeking a program intern who is a highly energetic, tactful, and engaging self-starter. The intern will work closely with the Network 20/20 team to support projects primarily related to Network 20/20’s Briefing Series and The Innovators Awards in Global Affairs and Benefit.

About the Briefing Series
The Briefing Series is Network 20/20’s signature program where we bring thought leaders and practitioners in foreign policy to share with our audience their take on macro-level or region-specific trends shaping our world. The in-person briefings (Salon Series) will be hosted in apartments in Manhattan and are exclusive to Network 20/20 members. The Virtual Briefing Series is free and open to everyone and has welcomed more than 10,000 attendees from more than 100 countries around the world.

About the Innovators Awards in Global Affairs and Benefits

During our annual fundraiser, we celebrate the Innovators Awards in Global Affairs, where we recognize young companies worldwide that are taking innovative approaches to tackling challenges that impact the foreign affairs landscape. We look for applicants in global health, environment, defense and security, humanitarian aid, communications and civic engagement, and financial inclusion. Please see more info here. We also give our annual Global Leadership Award and Ted Sorensen Award. Last year Deloitte Global CEO, Punit Renjen and former Director for European Affairs at the National Security Council, Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman received these honors.

While the intern will focus on program and the above-mentioned projects, the internship is designed so they will also gain hands-on experience and training in many aspects of Network 20/20’s program and learn about the operations of a small nonprofit organization.
