Reflections on a year of war in the Middle East

Reflections on a year of war
in the Middle East

In-person, Members-only

Tuesday, October 1, 2024 | 7 PM – 8:30 PM ET

As we approach the one-year anniversary of the October 7 Hamas attacks on Israel, we want to reflect on a day that caused shockwaves across the Middle East and beyond. With Israel and Hezbollah on the verge of all-out conflict, this is a time to look at both the complicated history of the region as well as the motivations of actors that seem increasingly dug in. What is the relationship between Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran? What is the likelihood of getting to a cease-fire? How might an escalating conflict impact the region and beyond? Join us on Tuesday, October 1st from 7 to 8:30 PM to talk with seasoned Middle East war correspondent Courtney Kealy to talk about the complicated history in the region and what needs to be in place for a path forward to peace.
