Leah Moschella

2021-2023 Tunisia Fellow

Leah Moschella is a strategic innovator leading and scaling initiatives at the intersection of
education, workforce development, and community impact. She brings over fifteen years of
experience in practitioner-informed policy, human-centered design, and program implementation
and scale. Currently, Leah leverages her expertise working full-time with the national education
intermediary, the Education Design Lab in Washington DC, where she supports higher education
leaders in implementing learner-centered innovations to drive equitable economic advancement for
all. In 2010, Leah founded Girls’ Leadership, Organized Woman, a nonprofit organization that
fosters leadership, civic engagement, and entrepreneurship training that has reached thousands of
women and girls. In addition to her national education and policy leadership, Leah is dedicated to
global impact. In 2015, she served as a Shafik Gabr Diplomatic Fellow for young leaders in
intercultural dialogue and policy in Egypt. She also served as both a delegate and a
country-delegation facilitator for Hostelling International’s IOU Respect program in Tunisia. She has
been recognized by the White House United State of Women as a Changemaker and the city of
Boston for community impact and leadership. Leah earned a Master’s Degree from Northeastern
University in Boston and a Bachelor’s Degree from Fordham University in New York City.
