The Hon. Frances Fragos Townsend serves as an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Government, Legal and Business Affairs at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, Inc. Townsend serves as an Advisor of Decision Sciences International Corporation and a Senior Counselor at Aquamarine Investment Partners. She is an on-air contributor for CNN as an expert on counterterrorism, national security and homeland security. She has over 25 years of experience in legal, law enforcement and security. She served as an Operating Advisor of Monument Capital Group, LLC (alternate name, Monument Capital Group Holdings LLC). She served as Senior Vice President at MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings, Inc. She was a Corporate Partner at Baker Botts L.L.P. since April 2009. She served as an Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism and chaired the Homeland Security Council from May 2004 to January 2008. She spent 13 years at the U.S. Department of Justice. She serves as the Chair of SAP National Security Services, Inc. Ms. Townsend serves on numerous government advisory and nonprofit boards. She served as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) and is a Member of the Board of the Bipartisan Policy Council. She has been an Independent Director of Freeport-McMoRan Inc. since December 20, 2013; The Western Union Company since August 27, 2013 and Scientific Games Corporation since April 2010. She serves as a Director of Business Executives for National Security, Inc. and Bipartisan Policy Center. She served as a Director of SIGA Technologies, Inc. from March 9, 2011 to May 15, 2014.She served as a Member of the Advisory Board at IrisGuard Incorporated. She has been a Member of Advisory Board at Protiviti Inc. since February 18, 2015. She is a Member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Trilateral Commission. 


Townsend holds a B.A. in Political Science, a B.S. in Psychology from American University, and a JD from the University of San Diego School of Law.
