H.E. Mr. Amr Abdellatif Aboulatta, Ambassador of Egypt to the United Nations

From 2014 to 2018, His Excellency Amr Abdellatif Aboulatta has served as the Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations and was currently Chair of the United Nations Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee. Previously, he has been Assistant Foreign Minister and Head of the Diplomatic Personnel Department of his country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, he was

Assistant Foreign Minister and Permanent Representative of Egypt to the League of Arab States. From September 2008 to August 2012, Mr. Abdellatif was Egypt’s Ambassador to Jordan. Mr. Abdellatif has a Masters of Arts degree from the International Institute of Public Administration in Paris. He is fluent in Arabic, French and English.

Married with one daughter, he was born on 10 November 1957 in Giza.
