Program and Research Intern
Brian Haughton is a Program and Research Intern at Network 20/20 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He holds a B.A. in Political Science with minors in History and Russian, as well as an M.A. in Political Science with certification in International Politics, both from Villanova University. He studied the functioning of the European Union and EU-US relations at the University of Freiburg in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. Brian volunteers with Ukraine Defense Support on the European Action for Ukraine team as well, providing EU-Ukraine-related research and analysis, and previously volunteered with Balakun to tutor Ukrainian students in English. His interests include the politics and history of the former Soviet Union, the politics of the European Union, NATO, and the transatlantic alliance (with particular focus on Germany and the Nordics), and the history and development of liberalism.
