Development Intern
Melanie Paquiyauri is the Development Intern at Network 20/20. She is pursuing bachelor’s degrees in Digital Technology and Emerging Media and Spanish Studies at Fordham University and has also studied abroad at the Universidad del Salvador in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At Fordham, Melanie won an internal grant to conduct independent, qualitative research on unequal access to digital devices and skills among Bronx residents. She also worked as an Anti-Racism Pedagogy Intern, where selected students conducted classroom visits, analyzed class materials, and executed academic events with minority-language academics and activists. Her interests lie in international relations, digital media research, and the development of programs and organizations that encourage cross-cultural communication and understanding. Melanie is excited to contribute to Network 20/20 as an intern and to learn more about the development and fundraising of a nonprofit.
