Communication and Social Media Intern
Joyce Behrens is the Communication and Social Media Intern for Network 20/20. She graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, along with a French minor and a business concentration. Since graduating, Joyce has made a name for herself in the Washington, D.C. area, focusing on the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region.
Before joining the Network 20/20 team, she interned at Arab America as a Contributing Writer, writing original articles on the culture of the Arab world. Joyce has also interned at the Gulf International Forum as a Research Assistant focusing on the Gulf region as well as political, economic, and humanitarian issues. Furthermore, Joyce provided contract work for Yemen Journal as a Content Management Assistant.
As Joyce pursues her Network 20/20 fall internship, she hopes to gain more knowledge and to challenge herself in other regions of the world.
