Hope Winthrop

Hope Winthrop is an Adjunct Professor of Mediation at Cardozo Law School, and a Mentor of Mediation at Columbia Law School. She has had a mediation career for over 25 years, and has practiced in the NY Supreme and Civil Courts as well as the Civilian Complaint Review Board, the EEOC, and the Manhattan Surrogate Court where she was one of the founders of the mediation program. She has also served as a mediator in real estate and business disputes, special education cases, victim offender situations, and personal disputes, amongst others.

Prior to becoming a mediator, Ms. Winthrop worked in legal and government relations for the tech industry and the aviation industry. She graduated from Harvard College and Boston University School of Law.

Ms. Winthrop has served on the Board of the NY Historical Society, The Center for Reproductive Rights where she was Vice Chair, and the Harvard Committee on University Resources. Since joining the Board of Network 20/20, she has travelled on entrepreneurial diplomacy trips to Iran and the Balkan States of Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia.
