Program Intern

Aisha Kassim is Network 20/20’s Program Intern. Aisha is currently a rising senior at Binghamton University, where she pursues a double major in Political Science & Africana Studies. She is also a JFEW SUNY International Relations and Global Affairs Scholar. Prior to Network 20/20, Aisha was a Research Intern at the Africa Empowerment Fund and an American Junior Counselor in Goesan, South Korea under the Fulbright Program.

Upon graduation, Aisha plans to pursue a career in international relations where she will utilize her leadership skills to make a lasting impact in the world.

Aisha Kassim is fiercely passionate about international development and the role it plays in improving life outcomes in developing countries around the world. At Binghamton University, she serves as an Admissions Tour Guide and Resident Assistant. She leverages both roles to design diversity initiatives that combat racism and microaggressions, creating a safe community for students. She is also an active member of her alma mater, Democracy Prep Public Schools, where she is an Alumni Relations Coordinator. In this role, she manages a caseload of 25 fellow alumni, tracking their journey through college.

Upon graduation, Aisha plans to pursue a career in international relations where she will utilize her leadership skills to make a lasting impact in the world.
